What usually gets in the way

A new programme is always a risk. Except in this case

We have broken down the four reasons why centres put off launching chess — and removed each one.

01

“We won’t find a coach”

The search takes 1–3 months, and a good children’s chess coach is rare even in a city of a million.

Solution: a team of CM+ coaches is already in place and trained for working with children. If a coach falls ill, cover is arranged within 24 hours, with no lesson cancelled.

02

“It won’t pay off”

A coach’s salary, rent, teaching materials and advertising add up to 150–250 thousand ₽ of investment before the first profit.

Solution: you pay nothing at the start. Settlements are based on actual revenue: no participants, no costs.

03

“There’s no one to run it”

Your administrator already has a full day, and a new programme means scheduling, chats, reports and complaints.

Solution: operations are entirely on us. All we need from you is one announcement to your client base. After that we handle enrolment, lessons and communication.

04

“What if it doesn’t take off?”

Launching a programme blind is scary: you could spend a season on it and close it in December.

Solution: we start with a free masterclass for your client base. Demand is visible from actual sign-ups — before any commitments.

Three questions — and we’ll show you the format that suits your business, with the expected economics.

Question 1 of 3

What matters most to you?

Solutions catalogue

Eleven products you can add

The model determines how the money is split. The solutions are what exactly you offer your families. Partners usually start with regular groups and then add whatever solves a specific task: attracting new families, keeping current ones or raising the average spend.

♟Core

Regular group lessons

Small groups of up to 7 children of the same level, 1–2 times a week. The main product and the main source of your income.

Gives the partner: a predictable monthly flow
♛Premium

One-to-one lessons

A personal coach for children aiming for a rating category and tournaments. The price is 3–4 times higher than for a group.

Gives the partner: a higher average spend without growing the client base
♜For schools and nurseries

Chess in the classroom

Lessons within the institution’s timetable, paid from the organisation’s budget. No teacher post needed on your staff.

Gives the partner: a contract instead of retail sales
AFor language schools

Chess in English

A bilingual format: the coach teaches the lesson in English. The child gets the language through live practice rather than exercises.

Gives the partner: it strengthens the core service instead of competing with it
♞Free at the start

Open masterclass

An introductory lesson for your client base, at our expense. The main launch tool: it shows demand before any commitments.

Gives the partner: enquiries and a hypothesis test with no budget
♔Event

Tournaments under your brand

Online tournaments with brackets, live streaming and certificates issued in your centre’s name. Once a month or for the school holidays.

Gives the partner: a news hook, content and a reason to stay
☀Seasonal

Summer intensives and camps

Short, packed programmes during the holidays — when regular groups are idle and parents need to keep their children busy.

Gives the partner: revenue in the dead season
◎Free

Level assessment of your client base

A short game-based test for children from your client base: we determine their level and interest. The result is a list of those ready to enrol.

Gives the partner: warm leads from its own client base
✎Content

Webinars for parents

“How chess affects schoolwork”, “What to do about screen time”. Expert content in your name.

Gives the partner: warming up the client base and positioning as an expert
✦Upsell

Gift vouchers

Vouchers for lessons under your brand — for New Year, 1 September or as a bonus with your monthly subscription.

Gives the partner: sales outside the enrolment season
⌘For companies

Corporate tournament

A “parents versus children” event for a partner company. It fits into the HR calendar and opens the door to the benefits package.

Gives the partner: a way into the corporate segment

All solutions work in any of the five models. We put together the combination at the briefing to suit your task — attracting new families, keeping current ones or raising the average spend.

A game for partnership

We recommend: Co-brand

A second programme that keeps a family with you a year longer

You already have mental arithmetic, school readiness or robotics. Chess meets the same parental request — “developing thinking skills” — but does not compete with your courses for time: it runs on a different day and online.

  • A family with two activities leaves noticeably less often — LTV goes up
  • It doesn’t take up your classroom: lessons are online, no space needed
  • You can sell it as a bundle with your own course and raise the average spend

0 m²of extra space
We recommend: Co-brand

A “smart” add-on to languages without expanding your staff

Parents who pay for English are exactly the audience that buys chess: they invest in their child’s thinking, not in entertainment. The offer lands in a client base that is already warmed up.

  • One mailing to your client base produces the first group
  • There is a format with lessons in English — it strengthens your core service
  • Stand out from neighbouring language schools without cutting prices

We recommend: Institutional contract

Chess as an extracurricular activity — without hiring a teacher

The programme is covered by an external provider: a timetable that fits the school day, lessons taught online by our coach, no involvement of the class teacher. Reports for the administration and parents at the end of each period.

  • Payment under a contract and invoice from the school budget, closing documents
  • We provide the curriculum and the syllabus ready-made
  • A strong argument at open days and when enrolling pupils for the first year
0staff positions needed
Bank transfercontract, invoice, acceptance certificates
Reporton each participant for the period
We recommend: Institutional contract

Chess from age 5 in a playful format

For preschoolers it is not a “sport” but a game with a fairy-tale storyline: pieces as characters, short 30-minute blocks, plenty of movement and tasks. The format has been tested with 5–6-year-olds.

  • 30-minute blocks to fit the nursery’s daily routine
  • A clear advantage when enrolling groups for the new year
  • Parents see progress: certificates, mini-tournaments, reports
5+starting age, years
30 minlesson length
15–20%share of parents who buy an extra lesson
We recommend: Institutional contract

A benefit employees actually use

Private health insurance stopped being a perk long ago. Lessons for employees’ children are a rare benefit that reaches the family rather than just the employee. It fits into a flexible benefits plan in full or as an 80/20 co-funding arrangement.

  • The whole company connected with one contract
  • A “parents versus children” corporate tournament as an HR event
  • A report for HR: how many families took part and with what results

Five commitments we fix in the contract

A partnership should be safe for your reputation with parents. That is why our commitments are in writing.

01

Free launch

You pay nothing for onboarding, materials or the masterclass. Settlements are based only on the programme’s actual revenue.

02

Coach cover within 24 hours

Illness or force majeure does not cancel a lesson: every group has an assigned back-up coach.

03

Transparent records

All participants, payments and your accruals are visible in the partner account in real time. A monthly reconciliation statement.

04

Your client base stays yours

We do not sell anything to the families you bring in behind your back, and we do not lure them away to direct contracts.

05

Exit without penalties

If it doesn’t work out, we part ways with 30 days’ notice. We undertake to properly complete the lessons already paid for.

Would you like to see the contract before we talk?

We will email you a draft contract and the partner presentation — no calls and no sales pitch.

For four years we have been building a format in which children ask to go to lessons themselves and parents see progress without any chess expertise. We hand this whole mechanism over to our partners — together with responsibility for the result.

What lies behind the lessons
  • A 4-stage curriculum: from getting to know the pieces to rating category standards
  • Small groups of up to 7 children strictly of the same level
  • A live coach, not a recording: game reviews and feedback for everyone
  • Homework on a game platform between lessons
  • In-house tournaments and certificates — the fuel for retention
  • A monthly report for parents: what the child has learnt and what comes next

Questions every partner asks

How it works
Do we need to know anything about chess?+

No — neither you nor your reception staff. We hand over a ready-made script with answers to parents’ typical questions; the coaches take care of everything else. Your job is to present the programme to your audience; ours is to run it.

How much of our team’s time will this take?+

About two hours a month: one announcement to your client base and a short check of the participant list. Scheduling, parent chats, enrolment, cover and retention stay on our side.

Are lessons held online or in person?+

The main format is live online lessons with a coach, so we work with partners in any city. For centres with their own premises, a hybrid format is possible: the children gather in your classroom and the coach joins online. That way the lesson also keeps footfall coming through your premises.

How many children do we need to get started?+

A group starts with four children of the same level, seven at most. If fewer sign up after the masterclass, we fill the group from our side so you don’t have to wait for the next season.

What if a child drops out after a month?+

Retention is our responsibility and our income too, which is why tournaments, rating categories and monthly reports to parents are built into the format. If a child does leave, we find out why and include the reason in the report: it is information about your client base, and it stays with you.

Coaches and results
Who teaches the lessons, and how do you select coaches?+

The minimum qualification is Candidate Master (CM), but a tournament rating is not enough: every candidate goes through teaching-methods training, trial lessons and an internship with a mentor. We work only with coaches on our staff, so no random person from a freelance marketplace will ever appear under your brand.

We’ve tried chess before — the group fell apart after two months. Why will it be different now?+

Chess clubs usually fall apart for three reasons: children of different levels in one group, progress that parents can’t see, and silence between lessons. We deal with all three: we form groups strictly by level, we mark progress with rating categories and tournaments, and between lessons the children play on the platform and get game reviews from their coach.

What do we need on the technical side?+

For the online format — nothing: the child studies from home via a link. For the hybrid format, your classroom needs a laptop or screen, a stable internet connection and a speaker with a microphone — equipment you almost certainly already have. There is no need to buy licences, software or chess equipment.

How will you recruit the first group from our client base?+

The process is well tested: you make an announcement through your channels, we run a free masterclass for your children and parents and open enrolment right there. We prepare the mailing texts, layouts and a script for your administrator — all you have to do is send them to your audience.

How soon will we see the first money?+

As a rule, in the fifth to seventh week. The first two weeks go on the launch and the masterclass, then the group studies for a month; at the end of it we close the period and transfer your share. There is no upfront investment, so there is nothing to recoup: your very first payout is net income.

Money and documents
How exactly do the settlements work?+

Once a month: we close the period, draw up an acceptance certificate for the lessons actually paid for and transfer your share. Your accruals are visible in the partner account throughout the month, not only at the moment of payout.

Who takes payment from parents?+

It depends on the model. In the referral and co-brand models we can take the money — then you don’t need a till or card acquiring for this programme. In white-label and the institutional contract, payment goes through you, and you pay us at the wholesale price.

What kind of contract do we sign?+

For the referral model — an agency agreement or acceptance of a public offer, all signed online. For co-brand, white-label and work with organisations — a full contract with annexes covering volume, price and territory. If you ask, we will send you a draft contract even before our first conversation.

Do you work with legal entities by bank transfer?+

Yes. We provide a contract, invoice, acceptance certificates and all closing documents. This is our standard way of working with private schools, nurseries and companies.

What about children’s personal data?+

We work in line with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ on personal data: we collect the minimum necessary data, obtain the consent of the legal guardian and do not share data with third parties. The processing procedure is described in the .

Do you grant exclusivity for our area?+

Yes, this can be discussed starting from co-brand and is secured by contract in the “territory licence” model. The usual arrangement is that exclusivity is granted in exchange for a commitment to a number of groups launched per season.

What happens if we decide to end the partnership?+

30 days’ notice — and we part ways. We see lessons already paid for by parents through to the end, so you are left with no conflict with families. There are no exit penalties in the referral and co-brand models.
